ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Barnard Fire Department held its last Bands at Barnard concert for 2022 on Wednesday night, but this one was for a special cause.

This concert was a memorial for fallen RPD officer Tony Mazurkiewicz who was killed in the line of duty in July. It was also to support RPD officer Sino Seng who was injured in the attack.

“The public supports public safety,” Barnard Fire Department President Kevin Bardeen said. “It’s what we want. You know we want people supporting public safety. We don’t want them turning their backs on us. We don’t turn our backs on our fellow public safety officers. We want the public to do the same thing.”

A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to the Rochester Police Locust Club along with 100% of money raised through T-shirt sales.
