PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Some local kids got the thrill of a lifetime Tuesday.

They visited Oak Hill Country Club during PGA Championship Week to hear from people who’ve found success professionally and personally. The kids knew that part of the program. What they didn’t know was one of those people would be Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.

The reaction was star-struck, speechless, in awe. The reaction from the kids was better. The biggest sports star in Western New York came into their tent, the site of the PGA’s program called Beyond The Green. It’s an effort to bring golf to children from under-served neighborhoods.

There were kids from the Boys and Girls Club, city schools and charter schools. The PGA has a campaign called Drive It Further. It’s focus is on children, veterans and under-served communities. The goal is $100 million. They’ve raised $50 million. If you want to contribute, click here.
