Black History Month celebration at the Memorial Art Gallery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Memorial Art Gallery held its 23rd Annual Black History Month Celebration Series on Sunday.

The event on University Avenue showcased art, music, dance performances and more. Performers included the Roc City Line Dance Express, Cinnamon Jones, the prestigious Gems Dance and Garth Fagan Dance. There was also a Dress for Success Fashion Show.

One event organaizer says it’s important to highlight we are more than the struggles that we’ve been through.
