ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A boarded-up home on Alphonse Street caught fire overnight on Friday, for the second time in two weeks.

The Rochester Fire Department responded just after 1 a.m. When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the empty single-story house.

They had to cut through the boarded-up windows and doorways to fight the fire. It was under control in about 20 minutes.

No one was inside at the time and no injuries were reported. The cause is still under investigation.
