WEBSTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A convicted felon is in jail tonight, accused of shooting a woman and a boy in Webster.

Trevon Whitfield, 28, is facing several charges including assault.

Webster police told us Monday night that the shooting happened around 10 a.m. Saturday morning at a home on Kircher Park in the village.

Investigators say Whitfield recklessly shot a gun, hitting the woman in the backside and the boy in the leg.

Both were dropped off at Rochester General Hospital and are expected to survive.

Whitfield was previously convicted of robbery, so he’s not allowed to have a gun.

Investigators say additional guns and ammo were found in the house on Kircher Park.
