‘Dateline’ to focus on slain Chili teen Brittanee Drexel

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. – It took more than a decade, but justice was finally served in the case of the Chili teen who went missing in Myrtle Beach 13 years ago.

A new “Dateline” special on the murder of Brittanee Drexel airs Friday night.

News10NBC has covered the case since the beginning. Brittanee was on spring break in April 2009 when she went missing.

Just this year, her killer, Raymond Moody, confessed and pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering her.

In the special, investigators will talk about how they worked the case. Correspondent Keith Morrison also talks to Moody.

News10NBC’s Brett Davidsen was also interviewed for the episode.

It airs at 9 p.m.
