FAIRPORT, N.Y. — It’s Work Zone Awareness Week across New York.

In recognition of highway workers, the Lift Bridge in Fairport was lit up orange, as were other landmarks across the state.

The theme this year: Work zones are temporary. Actions behind wheels can last forever.
