Firefighters quickly knock down fire in Pittsford

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – Pittsford firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a fire on Kirklees Road in Pittsford on Monday.
Chief Cline said the fire was contained to the living room on the first floor, and the people in the home got out without injuries, but two cats were found dead.
He said the damage to the home was minimal and repairable.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
