Vehicle catches fire at University of Rochester; Glass cracks on building from heat

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester firefighters put out a vehicle fire Wednesday morning at the University of Rochester River Campus.

RFD responded just before 3:30 a.m. to the fire on Hutchinson Road. Firefighters say the engine compartment of the vehicle was badly damaged. They also say that, although the nearby building didn’t catch fire, the heat caused some of its glass panes to crack.

RFD is working to determine the cause. No one was hurt.
