ROCHESTER, N.Y. -Monday started off with some frost on the pumpkins, as temperatures dipped into the 20s in some spots! But we’ll put the chilly air aside, as major October warmth moves in for the majority of the rest of this week. We’ll likely flirt with 70 on Tuesday with a partly to mostly sunny sky, then lower to mid 70s Wednesday through Friday. While this stretch of warmth is unusual, we likely won’t set any records, as those stand in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Our weather also won’t be flawless, but will be fairly quiet. A front will lay draped just to our north, which may spread a stray shower into the region later this week, but all in all, expect mainly dry weather.
Our weather pattern begins to break down by the weekend, which unfortunately means another wet and unsettled weekend for us. A slow moving cold front will drop through, bringing us back into the 60s for Saturday with some showers around, and some rain on Sunday, as temperatures drop into the 50s. That front should clear the area on Monday, putting us on the cooler side of it for Halloween. An early look at Halloween has us in the 40s with mainly dry weather, though some showers may be lurking to the south, and some wet flakes may make their way in just after Halloween. Stay tuned.
