ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It’s another cool, comfy, and cloudy start across our region for Thursday.

We will continue to deal with a mixture of clouds and sun and we will see another chance for an isolated shower or storm to pop up locally. The rain will not be as heavy as the past two days and storm activity will not be as numerous as the past couple of days either.

What we are expecting is an isolated or stray shower or storm across our region with most of the area remaining dry. Temperatures will also warm up again near the 80 degree mark and remain comfortable.

Clouds will also begin to clear out in the evening and turn partly cloudy to mostly clear on Thursday which will give us a better chance to view the Northern Lights compared to Wednesday.

Clear skies will continue through Friday for most, as there will be the chance for an isolated shower or storm along the lakeshore in the afternoon. Temperatures will also turn warmer with highs in the mid 80s and with dew points remaining low before they rise this weekend. Saturday and Sunday are still looking unsettled with the best chance for rain coming on Sunday.

A weak wave of low pressure off the East Coast Saturday will help pop an isolated shower or storm late, but most are dry. Temperatures will also warm up into the upper 80s, to near 90, during the afternoon. Most of Saturday will feature a mixture of sun and clouds before a better chance for rain arrives Sunday.

A cold front slowly approaches from the west on Sunday and will bring us scattered showers and storms with locally heavy rain possible. No flooding is expected, but we will have to watch out for limited visibility at times on the roads and pooling and ponding.

Low pressure will then slow down across our region and slowly drift towards the East Coast and keep us on the wet side through the early part of next week with shower and storm chances.
