First Alert Weather: Cooler Than Normal Weather for Early October

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Fortunately, the ruminants of Hurricane Ian will not have a direct impact on Western New York. However, the pressure difference between the high pressure system to the north, and the low pressure to the south, will create some gusty winds for Sunday. Otherwise we can look forward to an extended period of dry weather that will last well into the upcoming week.
Tonight look for mainly cloudy skies with a the low temperature near 49 degrees. If are heading to the Hilton Apple Festival expect a return to more sunshine. However, it will be a gusty wind with cooler than normal temperatures. The afternoon will bring only temperatures in the middle to upper 50s. Typical this time of the year the mercury reaches the upper 60s. Monday will feature more sunshine with less wind. The high temperature will reach near 60 degrees. Tuesday will again bring more sunshine and it will be a little milder. The high temperature expected to be closer to the middle 60s. The pleasant weather continues into Wednesday with the temperature pushing 70 degrees.
