RhOCHESTER, N.Y. — Rain will increase for parts of the region off of Lake Erie on Monday morning through midday.

The best chance for rain will be near and south of Rochester between 9 a.m. and noon. This area of rain will tend to break up during the afternoon so an all day washout is not expected.

Having said that, additional showers and perhaps a thunderstorm may pop-up during the afternoon hours so you need to be prepared for some windswept showers along with breaks of sunshine through the day.

More of the same weather can be expected Tuesday into Wednesday. Conditions improve on Thursday into Friday. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the lake effect rain and also if any of the remnants of Hurricane Ian will impact our region next week.
