ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It’s a much warmer morning on Friday compared to earlier in the week. There are plenty of clear skies and cool temperatures out there across our region.

However, we do have some valley fog once again, especially in the valleys south of the Thruway and in the Finger Lakes. Be careful while traveling to or from those locations, as visibility may be dropped at times on Friday morning on the roads.

Fog will burn off by 9 a.m. thanks to the abundance of sunshine locally. Sunshine will continue through Friday afternoon and let us warm up into the low 80s.

Any outdoor plans in the afternoon and evening will go on without any weather issues as the weather cooperates. The clear skies and sunshine will continue through Saturday as well making for an absolutely fantastic start to the weekend. With sun once again for Saturday, afternoon temperatures will reach the mid 80s. Once we head into Saturday night though, things will begin to change.

Clouds will begin to increase on Saturday night and through Sunday we are expecting mainly cloudy skies. Most of the day Sunday will be dry, but a shower is possible late in the day. A better chance for rain arrives Monday with cloudy skies and scattered showers.

As quickly as we are able to put the umbrella’s away, we are going to need them again early next week. The shower chances continue through Tuesday and into Wednesday. On Tuesday though, we could get a good amount of sun as low pressure strengthens we may get an area of dry air to swing in locally to give us a brief break before the showers return.
