ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Thursday starts with cloudy, cool, and foggy conditions once again across the region but there are changes on the way.

Early on Thursday morning, we will deal with cloudy skies, limited visibility, and the chance for a few sprinkles before the sun returns in the afternoon.

Heads up though in the morning, as foggy conditions will likely continue over the next couple of hours before lifting late into the morning. With the transition to partly cloudy skies this afternoon, we will also see the afternoon highs warm up into the mid and upper 70s.

There is the chance for a spotty sprinkle this afternoon as well, but most will be dry by then. The dry weather will continue through tomorrow and into the early part of the weekend with summer-like temperatures.

Friday will feature mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s, and then Saturday will be great with sunny skies and highs in the mid-80s. However, on Saturday we will be tracking our next chance for rain that will arrive late Sunday and continue into early next week. Most of Sunday will be dry, but clouds will increase in the afternoon and give way to a shower or storm late in the day.

A better chance for rain will move in for Monday and Tuesday of next week as an upper-level low slowly drifts to our north during that time. How much rain, and how widespread is still a bit uncertain but be prepared to use the umbrellas and raincoats once again early next week.
