ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tuesday made it into the 50s, and we’ll see one more mainly dry and milder day before our next storm system moves in by Thursday. Wednesday will feature a mostly cloudy sky and temperatures reaching into the mid 50s. A few sprinkles are possible by later in the afternoon or evening, but the majority of Wednesday should be dry. That changes Wednesday night. A warm front lifting through will bring our first round of rain overnight into Thursday morning. Then, a cold front moving in will bring another period of scattered showers during the afternoon. Showers may tend to taper somewhat midday, but plan on damp weather through much of the day. Showers will taper following the cold front by the evening.
We’ll feel the difference on Friday, with high temperatures falling back into the lower 40s, which is a little cooler than average. We’re already tracking our next storm system for Saturday, which should primarily feature rain. We may see a brief wintry mix at the onset Saturday morning, but it won’t last long. Winds will kick up a bit following the next cold front Saturday night, into Sunday morning, but we’ll dry things out. Speaking of which, we’ll see roughly a half inch to an inch of rain between the rain on Thursday and Saturday. We may see yet another storm system on Monday or Tuesday of next week. This one may feature a little wet snow mixing in, depending on the exact track. Winter likely isn’t done quite yet. Stay tuned.
