First case of Monkeypox detected in Seneca County

SENECA COUNTY, N.Y. — Seneca County has detected its first case of Monkeypox.

The health department there says the individual has a history of travel and is now in isolation.

Seneca County is working with the New York State Department of Health to ensure they receive proper medical attention.

They also say that there is no risk to the public at this time.
