ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Rochester Police say they found a body in the water along the river by the Ford Street Bridge Friday afternoon.

Police say they responded to the west riverbank north of the Ford Street Bridge for a report of a body in the water. They say when first responders got there, they found an older man dead and removed his body from the river.

The man’s body was turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office and the cause of death is unknown at this time police say.
