Gates Police: Serial beer thief in Monroe County Jail

GATES, N.Y. — Gates Police say a serial beer stealer has finally been arrested.
Alan Jones of Rochester is accused of stealing cases of beer from local gas stations since last November. Investigators say he also led police on chases, which were called off due to public safety concerns.
The 40-year-old was in the Monroe County Jail Friday night.
