Historic Adirondack inn is a total loss after fire; community raises money to help

EAGLE BAY, N.Y. – The Big Moose Volunteer Fire Department responded to the Big Moose Inn in the Adirondack Mountains early Saturday morning for a fire. Ten people were evacuated from the inn, and a firefighter was taken to the hospital for a leg injury.

Fire Officials say the building appears to be a total loss. The inn was built in 1903.
