ROCHESTER, N.Y. Money from the American Rescue Plan will go toward helping seniors in our community.
$800,000 has been awarded to Lifespan of Greater Rochester. It provides services and support for older adults and enhances their access to health care.
Lifespan’s proposal is one of almost 40 projects selected as part of Bring Monroe Back. That’s the county’s plan to utilize federal funds from the Biden administration.
“We know it is daunting to navigate systems, and it was made even worse by the pandemic as many of you know,” Lifespan President/CEO Ann Marie Cook said. “This expansion of this proven program will make things better for older adults in our community.”
So far, Monroe County has received more than $144 million in federal recovery funds.
