Man, 89, accused of killing wife in Penn Yan has died

PENN YAN, N.Y. — Penn Yan Police say Ronald Salyer, the 89-year-old man accused of killing his wife, has died.
Sayler, who had dementia, was in palliative care in the hospital and died on Friday afternoon. His wife, 89-year-old Jane Salyer, was found dead on her bathroom floor on Aug. 29 by a home health aide and a neighbor who News10NBC spoke with.
Penn Yan Police are continuing to investigate Jane’s death.
