Man arrested in Batavia on multiple sexual abuse charges

BATAVIA, N.Y. – On September 30, State Police arrested Daniel L. Goodell, 41 of Wichita, KS for sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and sexual conduct with a child.
Between 2019 and 2021, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation out of SP Batavia, received two complaints involving children possibly being sexually abused. Investigation found that a 13-year-old, and a 12-year-old were sexually abused multiple times.
Goodell moved from NY before these incidents were investigated, and he was eventually found in Kansas. He was extradited from Kansas to Genesee County on September 30, 2022, where he was arrested and processed by SP in Batavia. Goodell was arraigned, and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash bond.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office has pending charges on Goodell.
