ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A crash at the intersection of Dewey Avenue and West Ridge Road on Sunday night sent three people to the hospital.

One person was arrested for a DWI after the crash.

The Rochester Police Department responded at 8:30 p.m. and said the crash involved four cars and a bicycle. One car was heading westbound on West Ridge Road when it ran a red light at the intersection, colliding with another car. The collision caused the car that ran the red light to strike a building and the other car to strike a bicyclist riding on the shoulder of Dewey Ave.

After the initial crash, a third car rear-ended another car near the intersection. RPD said the driver of the third car was tested and arrested for a DWI. The driver who police say ran the red light got multiple traffic citations.

Police said that there were no serious injuries, but three of the people involved had minor complaints of pain and were taken to Strong Hospital by ambulance. The intersection has since reopened.
