ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A Rochester native, and NBA basketball player, was back in the area Saturday for a youth basketball camp. Isaiah Stewart is a center for the Detroit Pistons, who went to McQuaid High School.

Dozens of local kids came to the Thomas Payne Rec Center to get some coaching from a professional, and parents were thrilled to have a positive role model like Stewart teaching their kids.

“My main reason for doing this is t just give back to the kids. I grew up in the same environment, similar households that they grew up in. I just wanted to give back and show them that they can achieve their dreams, and any goals they have in mind as well,” said Isaiah Stewart, Center, Detroit Pistons.
