NY joins lawsuit against cryptocurrency investment firm

NEW YORK – A lawsuit was filed in New York against a cryptocurrency investment firm. The Attorney General’s office joined seven other state regulators in their lawsuit against Nexo Incorporated, and Nexo Capital.
The AG says that firm failed to register with the state as securities and commodities brokers, and lied to investors about that registration status. She also says about 10,000 New Yorkers have accounts with Nexo.
The lawsuit filed in the State Supreme Court, is seeking restitution for those investors.
