Penfield student passed away Wednesday

PENFIELD, N.Y. — A Penfield High School senior has died.
Parents in the district received a letter from the superintendent Wednesday afternoon. District officials say Nathan Weidel passed away sometime Wednesday morning.
He was a 12th grader at Penfield High School. The cause of death has not been released. Counselors and mental health staff are on hand to help grieving students and staff.
