Person taken away by ambulance after house fire in Greece

GREECE, N.Y. — At least one person was taken away by ambulance after a house fire on Churchill Drive in Greece.

Firefighters and police responded around 11 p.m. on Tuesday. News10NBC’s photojournalist saw crews extending fire hoses inside the home, which had no visible damage on the outside.

The fire broke out on the house’s second floor and crews were able to stop it from spreading, said a Facebook post from the North Greece Professional Firefighters Local 3827 union.

There’s no word yet on any injuries. We’ve reached out to Greece Police and are waiting to hear back.
