Police release name of man fatally shot during a robbery on North Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police said 41-year-old Rashadd Walker is the name of the man who was fatally shot during a robbery on Wednesday night.

The shooting happened at the corner of North Street and Duran Street, outside of Brooklyn Mini Mart. When Rochester police officers arrived, they found the city resident dead at the scene from at least one upper-body gunshot wound.

Our crew noticed the RPD K-9 units and a command van at the scene. The investigation into the shooting is still underway but no suspects are in custody yet. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
