Rochester crews rescue woman from house fire in Sixth Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester firefighters say they had to rescue a woman from a house fire on Six Street on Monday night.
RPD responded to the fire around 6 p.m. and said three people were home at the time. Two of them made it out on their own but a third person was still trapped on the second floor. According to RPD, one of the people who made it out used a ladder to help bring the woman to safety.
The fire was under control in about 15 minutes. No injures were reported. There are eight people who live in the house, who have now been displaced. The cause is under investigation.
