ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A call for a shooting, carjacking, then a police chase are all connected.

This started just after midnight on Tuesday on Thomas Street. Officers responded to calls for shots fired. That’s when they learned of a carjacking in the same area.

RPD said the car was stolen at gunpoint and at least one shot was fired. The victim was not injured. Three hours later, police said they found the stolen car at Parsells Avenue and Stout Street. Then there was a chase.

The suspects, a 16 and 18-year-old, eventually crashed into a curb and made a run for it. They were later captured.
