Running of the Green kicks off St. Patrick’s Day celebrations

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — To kick off the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and the start of the spring running season, the YMCA held the Running of the Green.

Runners, a lot of them decked out in green, ran five miles starting from East Main Street. There was a post-race party at the Mercantile on Main with live results and an awards presentation and most importantly, warmth.
