State Police: Wrong-way driver leaves scene of Orleans County crash that killed dirt bike rider

BARRE, N.Y. — A man, 19, is facing charges after New York State Police say he struck and killed a dirt bike driver in Orleans County, then fled the scene.

The crash happened in the Town of Barre on McNamar Road on Thursday just after 4 p.m. State Police say Noah Magee of Brockport was driving his truck the wrong way and on the shoulder of the road when he struck the dirt biker head-on.

The dirt bike driver, who troopers identified as 24-year-old Roger Kingdollar of Holley, died at the scene. Two other four-wheelers were traveling with Kingdollar and weren’t hit.

Troopers say Magee continued driving after the crash and he eventually returned to the scene without his truck. That’s when troopers detained him. He is now charged with Felony leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident, reckless endangerment, and traffic violations.
