ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — I-390 is finally back open near Chili Avenue after two hours of being shut down due to a police investigation.
Lanes had been blocked on I-390 in both directions between Chili Avenue and Scottsville Road since about 4:45 p.m.
The shutdown was connected to a police investigation at the car wash on Chili Avenue near Buell Road in Gates.
Police tell us they responded for a man with possible handguns in a vehicle. They were able to make contact with him and get him out of the vehicle.
The man is now on his way to a hospital for mental health evaluation.
Police did not tell us where he was from, but said he is not from our area.
We’ll have more tonight on News10NBC at 11.
