U.S. Supreme Court upholds NY’s background-check law for ammo

The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an effort to stop New York’s law to require background checks for buying ammunition.

Governor Kathy Hochul praised the decision.

In a statement, the governor said in part: “The United States Supreme Court has sided with common sense. Public safety is my top priority, and I’m committed to working with law enforcement and leaders across New York to keep our communities safe.”
