EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Older people in East Rochester got a helping hand on Sunday. The group that lent some help did it with such enthusiasm.
ASEZ WAO Buffalo and Rochester volunteers from the World Mission Society Church of God did some community service over the weekend.
Volunteers raked and picked up leaves and trash for those who struggle with the work. News10NBC asked organizers what they hope the volunteers get out of the experience.
“To do this all the time, just to think about everybody as a community and to give that hand is just so important,” said Fantasia Hunt of ASEZ WAO.
ASEZ WAO stands for “saving the Earth from A to Z” and “we are one family.”
