Wegmans SCAN App will no longer be available starting on Sunday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans said that its SCAN App, which provides a contactless in-store shopping option, will no longer be available starting on Sunday.
Wegmans created the app to provide a safer shopping experience earlier in the pandemic. The grocery store said the losses they expensed during the program prevent them from continuing the SCAN App.
“We’ve learned a lot and we will continue to introduce new digital solutions to streamline your shopping experience for the future,” said a statement from Wegmans.
SCAN App customers should get a $20 coupon in their online account.
