Woman gets 20 years for causing death of husband in Ogden crash

The woman who admitted being drunk behind the wheel and intentionally driving off the road into a telephone pole, killing her husband, will spend the next 20 years behind bars.
Jennie Clark, 44, was sentenced Thursday. She previously pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder and second-degree vehicular manslaughter in the death of Matthew Clark.

Prosecutors say early July 4, 2021, Jennie Clark was driving her husband and three children home from a party when the couple began fighting. That’s when she drove the vehicle off the road and into a telephone pole on the side of Colby Street. Matthew Clark was killed immediately. Their children were not injured.
After she serves her sentence, Jennie Clark will spend five years on post-release supervision.
