ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Irish eyes were smiling for Saturday’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

The weather couldn’t have been better and crowds came out in droves to celebrate. It was the best weather the parade has seen in a long time.

“Couldn’t do much better … it’s not snowing in March, I’m good,” said Dirk Davies, who took part in the parade.

If you were out celebrating Saturday, you may have seen a few familiar faces. News10NBC was a proud participant.

The streets were decorated green as Irish dancers, drummers, and floats made their way down East Avenue and Main Street.

Also Saturday, the YMCA held its Running of the Green. Runners — a lot of them — decked out in green ran five miles, starting from East Main Street and running along the Genesee River. There were traditional in-person races as well as virtual races.
