Application for NYC sewer sludge composting facility in Wayne County pulled

BUTLER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The company looking to build a sewer sludge composting facility in Wayne County appears to have pulled its application. 

The Butler Town Supervisor told News10NBC that Tully Environmental decided the site wasn't big enough for the facility they envisioned.

This is welcome news for the community, as plans for the New York City sewer sludge facility got a lot of push back from neighbors concerned about the environmental impact and their livelihood.
