ONTARIO, N.Y. (WHEC) — An Ontario gym has its certificate of occupancy revoked after the Town Supervisor says the gym violated an executive order mandating that gyms stay closed due to the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

Fitness 24-7 was sent an order to stop operating on June 16, and again on June 23.

A statement from the Town Supervisor said, “Once our code enforcement officer sees someone there or receives documentation that the owner is not complying we will issue an appearance ticket and revoke the certificate of occupancy.”

On Friday, the certificate of occupancy was revoked.
