Rich Caniglia

I have always loved the weather since I was a little kid. I used to run from window to window in the house to watch the snow fall and would watch the TV weatherman every day.

I was born in Providence, Rhode Island and then moved to Bedford, Massachusetts when I was 7 and then to New Canaan, Connecticut during high school.

After high school, I attended Cornell University and received a B.S. in Atmospheric Physics, which is a fancy way of saying “the weather.”

During college, I gave TV weather a try at the Ithaca College station. I immediately loved being on air and got my first break at WETM-TV in Elmira, New York. I spent a couple years there then came to News10NBC during the summer of 1999.

After less than a year on the weekend shift, I took over the News10NBC Today. I have now been getting up by 3 a.m. for over 10 years, and I look forward to delivering the forecast every morning for many more years to come.
