ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) - The secondary cold front is moving through our area this morning into the early afternoon.

Temperatures will continue to drop back through the 20s, and cause lake effect snow to begin off of Lake Ontario this afternoon. There is a burst of snow with the initial push of cold air, then more scattered, but persistent lake snow will continue across the area Sunday afternoon and evening, especially north of the Thruway. Gusty winds will produce areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility if you are out on the roads Sunday. Snow will tend to wind down slowly overnight and early Monday, but Monday will be a cold day, with highs in the lower 20s.
