UPDATE: Police say man shot his wife then killed himself at Greece home on Wednesday

GREECE, N.Y. — Greece Police say 51-year-old Muharem Serhatlic shot his wife before shooting and killing himself. The shooting happened on Wednesday night on Mosely Road near Benjamin Avenue in Greece.
Police say the wife, 46-year-old Raza Kanjic, is at Strong Hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in guarded condition.
Police responded to the home just before 10 p.m. after a family member inside the home made the 911 call to report that two people were shot. Kanjic was taken to the hospital and Serhatlic died at the scene.
News10NBC spoke with people in the neighborhood where the shooting happened. They were shocked and saddened that it happened so close to Thanksgiving.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and Greece Police are asking anyone with information to call 911 or their department at 585-581-4016.
