ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— It’s less than a month to go until the first day of autumn and we all know how great fall is here in New York.

The best part? A lot of people say the colors of the season.

News10NBC’s Brennan Somers went to First Alert Meteorologist Alex Bielfeld to get the answer to your Good Question.

Do people want to know with all the rain during the 2nd half of summer what does that mean for leaves changing? Will we see an earlier start to the season and colors?

Alex told Brennan the answer is no. leaves during the autumn season do not change because of the amount of rain we see in the summer season.
