ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) —Here’s a follow up to our Good Question on a famous food from upstate New York.

This started out as a simple question, what happened to the beans? But not just any beans, only Grandma Brown’s.

Several of you asked about it, then the follow-up emails filled our inbox.

Back around Thanksgiving News10NBC’s Brennan Somers spoke to the family that makes Grandma Brown’s, they are based in Mexico, New York, just past Oswego. The beans disappeared off grocery store shelves for a while during the pandemic, the family had to stop production for a bit, but as we told you a few weeks ago, they are back up and cooking.

So now many of you want to know, "Where can I get them?"

Well, more recently, staff started putting the beans back on empty shelves at the Hegedorn’s Supermarket in Webster, if you want some-you may want to show up early after the restock happens overnight.

The family also told Somers, Tops is another place you could pick them up, that’s one of the first orders from the Rochester area that went out when the new batches were ready.
