Pittsford Mendon graduate first woman to lead U.S. Navy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Admiral Lisa Franchetti, a graduate of Pittsford Mendon High School, has been confirmed as Chief of Naval Operations. The U.S. Senate confirmed the new chief Thursday.
Franchetti is the first woman ever to lead the United States Navy.
